Local Laws and Ordinances

All boats, vessels, or watercraft used on or capable of being used as a means of transportation in water, placed, deposited or stored on premises other than designated beach areas in the Incorporated Village of Shoreham, shall be garaged or housed on said premises unless a permit shall have first been obtained from the Chairman of the Architectural Review Board allowing an exterior placement, deposit or storage. No permit hereunder shall be granted unless the Chairman of the Architectural Review Board finds:

1. that placement, deposit or storage does not constitute a hazard to general health, safety and welfare of the community, and

2. that boat, vessel or other watercraft or contrivance is suitably screened from public view.

Any violation hereof shall subject the offender to a fine of not more than $50.00 for each and every offense.
