Nuisances

Sec. 24.

No owner or occupant of any lot or building in the Village of Shoreham, shall cause or permit any public nuisance to be, or to remain in such building or upon such lot, or between the same and the center of the adjoining street, whenever there shall exist any public nuisance, and complaint thereof is made to the Mayor of the Village, he shall forthwith cause a notice to be served upon the owner or occupant of the premises upon which said nuisance exists, requiring them to abate the same within twenty-four hours after the receipt of said notice. In any case of any violation of this ordinance the person or persons so violating the same, shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not less than twenty-five dollars, nor more than two hundred fifty dollars for each and every day such nuisance shall continue after the service of said notice.
